Our softwood mix of air-dried 33cm logs of spruce, pine, and Douglas fir is ideal for anyone who wants to heat their stove quickly and efficiently. Softwood ignites faster and hotter than hardwood and is therefore perfect for kindling .
This is a major advantage, especially with stoves made of soapstone, fireclay, or other heat-storage materials : the stone absorbs the heat immediately and then releases it evenly over a longer period. Without such a quick-heating firewood source, it takes significantly longer for the stone to reach its full heat storage capacity.
Softwood doesn't burn as long as hardwoods like beech, but it does burn hotter. This is particularly noticeable with masonry heaters... and it pays off!

If you opt for loose firewood , we will deliver the desired quantity directly to your home with our trailer. The wood will be unloaded on site – either in your driveway or at a suitable location in your garden.
For smooth delivery, we require a minimum access width of 2.5 meters . However, precise reversing allows us to make many things possible, so even narrower driveways or slightly angled property entrances are usually manageable without problems.
Loose wood is particularly practical because the quantity can be chosen flexibly and you can then store it according to your own wishes.
